Hand Sanitiser Australia Project
A rapid national healthcare supply-chain response at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In March 2020, when COVID-19 disrupted normal supply chains and GP practices across Australia were struggling to obtain hand sanitiser, Matt worked as an integral part of a three-person team that helped coordinate the manufacture and distribution of hand sanitiser to clinics nationwide. The initiative produced and delivered supplies to about 4,500 different addresses across Australia in under 10 days at a time when the country was essentially shut down. It required persistence, resourcefulness, supplier coordination, communication and practical logistics under pressure. The project was later covered by ABC News and remains strong evidence of rapid operational problem solving when frontline healthcare services needed support most.
